Requiem for the USS Stark

Over the weekend, the navy frigate USS Stark was attacked by Iraqi jets in the Persian Gulf, killing 37. Iraq claimed it was an accident; Reagan says the men will not have died in vain. A furious Bob takes to the air to call bullshit on Reagan and to outline why America's policy on the Gulf proves that they did indeed die in vain.

Col. Jack Burke

A discussion with Col. Jack Burke, a military expert, who has a long and fairly wonky discussion with Bob about military policy and strategy; weaponry, nuclear and otherwise; the arms industry; and various aspects of the Cold War. The program is then interrupted by President Reagan's Oval Office speech about Iran-Contra (not on the tape), after which Bob comes back to review the speech and take calls. It gets pretty heated.
